Solar Eclipse SAFETY!

On Monday morning students all across North America will get to witness a cosmic coincidence!  The moon will pass between us and the sun and we’ll be able to see a solar eclipse.   By 10 am Monday morning almost 80% of the sun will be covered by the moon and we’ll see that it’s getting darker!  Chances of being in the path of another total solar eclipse here in Napa may not happen for hundreds of years! – so it is exciting to say we saw it – but BE SURE TO STAY SAFE!  Never look at the Sun directly without protective eye gear. Even sunglasses cannot protect your eyes from damage.  You can permanently damage the retinas in your eyes even looking for just a few seconds!  Stay safe by making sure you either have the valid, certified solar filter glasses. I look forward to seeing many of you outside Monday morning and we’ll wave to each other while we’re experiencing this phenomenon together standing in the shadow of the MOON!  GO NAPA!
