8th Grade Registration Week is March 1st - 5th.

We invite families to join us on Monday, March 1st for our Incoming 8th Grade Family Webinar. Incoming NHS students will receive information on March 3rd during the Grizzly Welcome Webinar.  We have information linked below to help families work with their students to determine the courses that are best for them.  Students will register online beginning March 4th. 

Please review the Registration Steps on this page for information about when your student will register.  The Course Catalog is also an excellent resource when looking at electives or the prerequisite requirements for different courses in all disciplines.

Follow these simple 5 steps to register for your courses for next year.

  1. Attend the presentations March 3rd - 5th
  2. Review the planning information below
  3. Talk with your parents or guardians about your courses
  4. Register through the Aeries portal in Social Studies classes 
  5. Choose your classes before March 16

Students enrolling from private schools can contact Allison de Lorimier ( in Student Services to set an appointment with the counselor, Mrs. Lopez-Soto.  During these appointments, students & families will meet with the counselor to register for their courses next year.  Appointments will be available Mar. 15-19.

AVID Application for current 8th grade students 

Advanced Placement/Honors Commitment Pledge (Español) (required if taking an AP or Honors class. Note - only student logged into NVUSD account can complete the form. Contact your counselor if you are unable to log into the online form.)
