New & Improved NVUSD Board Agenda Tool
Posted 4/30/19

The Napa Valley Unified School District is excited to announce that it is transitioning its board of education agenda building tool from the current platform (Granicus) to the web-based California School Board Association Agenda Online -- the market standard agenda building tool among California school districts.

Although our staff and trustees have been doing an effective job at governance with our current tools, this upgrade helps us become more efficient, including how we develop the board agenda. This change also directly supports Goal #6: Strategic, Impactful Governance and Policy Implementation as outlined in our NVUSD 2019-2022 strategic plan that was adopted by our board of education in December 2018.

This transition means that board agendas will look different than in the past. We are excited for the opportunity to provide easier and seamless access to our board materials while improving and upgrading our governance procedures. In addition, our live streaming and archived videos of board meetings will be hosted on our district’s YouTube channel. NVUSD will begin using California School Board Association’s Agenda Online beginning with the May 9th, 2019, board meeting.

We look forward to sharing these new tools with our stakeholder community as we work to improve making our governance approach effective and efficient.
